Qualification (minimum)

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience (minimum)

Minimum of 12 years of experience as Piping engineer in the oil and gas industry.

Experience on the brown field job will be an added advantage.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Piping Engineer shall experience in the execution of brownfield projects in upstream facilities and responsible for overseeing the piping activities, including Piping job scope preparation, technical bid evaluation, engineering and design activities, material selection, fabrication, installation, modification, and testing of piping systems to ensure they meet safety, quality, and project requirements. This role also involves coordination with EPC consultants and contractor personnel, supervising and coordinating with the site personnels. Although Piping engineer will be stationed at Abu Dhabi office for engineering support, frequent site visit is expected to supervise the project activities
Assist the Senior Piping Engineer in Piping roles within the group in implementing the project plans, schedules, supervise and coordinate the project execution in efficient and effective manner, Execute related Project activities within the approved budgetary limits and monitor the actual expenditure against budgets. In case of equipment/material requirement which are under the non-budgeted category; assist the Senior Piping Engineer –  to prepare additional budget proposal for approval, Follow relevant project procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner, Assist the Senior Piping Engineer in implementation & regular review of policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent & systematic application of best practices and to improve the operational performance, Communicate the company’s polices & procedures and instructions to contractor, Plan and coordinate work activities within the team, prioritize tasks, and ensure their timely completion in accordance with defined procedures and standards., Responsible to coordinate the Engineering and design activities as per the applicable standards and guidelines., Experience in Smartplant-3D, CEASAR and Navis work review is an added advantage, Responsible for 3D-model ownership despite of multiple discipline objects are being modelled and additionally need to prepare/ review the Piping documents and deliverables that has been developed for ADOC unified Piping documents as well as for the PI-TC projects, Co-ordination with interdisciplinary engineers and reviewing the interface documents in compliance with standard practice without any negligence and deviations, Accountable for Project scope preparation and approval, technical bid evaluation, Material Requisition and selection review, 3D-model reviews and closeout, Mechanical completion walk through, Hands on experience on the applicable ADNOC, ASME and API standards, Conduct periodic inspections

Ability to understand the project objective and executing the job requirements satisfactorily., Flexible to work and co-ordinate the multiple jobs assigned., Hands on experience in Piping Materials., Periodical inspection during the installation and construction activities to ensure the quality of the system and adherence to the project needs., Assist with Senior Piping Engineer in planning and conducting the line walkthrough, System walkthrough, PSSR, Hydrotest, Pneumatic test, Leak test, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities associated with projects, Responsible to review, comment and approve all the construction documents at site

 Key area of experience

EPC experience with both design and Construction background
Experience in SP-3D, Navis work and Ceaser software shall be an added advantage.
